Orelac Racing VerdNatura rider Tati Mercado enjoyed a better race today, finishing just outside the top 10. After yesterday’s disappointment, today’s 25-lap race was one in which Tati could really enjoy the battle.
TATI – 11th
“Today was not bad. The start is always a bit crazy when you begin so far down the grid and there’s a lot going on. I lost a little time at the beginning of the race because of all the riders around me, but then I tried to settle into a good rhythm. I overtook Jacobsen and was able to maintain a good pace.
It was a bit difficult managing the rear tyre and it was spinning quite a lot, which meant that I didn’t have the grip to push any harder. If we can improve this I can definitely fight for a top 10 place. I would like to thank the whole team for all their good work this weekend. Yesterday was bad, so it’s good to end the weekend on a positive note.”
Giulio Bardi (Team Manager)
“I am pretty happy and satisfied with how things went today. We used the new (bigger) rear tyre and learned a bit better how to set the bike up for it. Tati’s lap times were not bad and, all in all, it was a good race.”
