“We made some changes to the bike from yesterday and the feeling of it was better in this morning’s warm-up and in Superpole. Starting 16thon the grid is never easy, but I was feeling good about my prospects in the race. I started the race hoping that it was going to be a good one, but I struggled with the bike with a full tank. As the race wore on and there was less fuel in the tank I thought I would be able to push hard, but then I began having problems with the rear tyre. I kept pushing as hard as I could, but the level in this championship is so high that you need everything to be working perfectly if you are to get a good result. We’ll try and improve the bike for tomorrow’s Race 2 and hopefully I can get a better result.”
Giulio Bardi (Team Manager)
“The team did a lot of work last night on the bike’s set-up and electronics and we got some good signs. The race was not bad – and Tati’s lap times were pretty good – but it’s always hard to get a good result when you start well down the grid. Overall, the race was pretty positive for us and I think we can improve more – in tomorrow’s race and thereafter.”

“I am a little frustrated because it could’ve been better. This morning’s warm-up was good and I was only three tenths of a second off the top. We made steps forward over the weekend for sure, but we need to make more steps so that we can be in the fight for the top ten. It’s frustrating because we are so close to getting there and we just need half a second – especially in the second part of the races.
At the start of today’s race I felt I was fast and doing well. In the second part of the race, I couldn’t manage the tyre at the same pace and that is one of the things that we need to work on if we want to be in the top ten. I am positive that we can do it and we will keep fighting to get there.”
Giulio Bardi (Team Manager)
“Today’s race was much better than yesterday and I think Tati knocked off nearly ten seconds of his race time. Realistically, we would have liked the result to have been better, but this is a tough championship and there are many strong riders and good bikes out there.
The changes we made from yesterday improved the bike and we are happy because we are making positive steps every time we go out. This is our first year in World Superbikes and it is one big learning experience for the whole team. I am happy that everything we have done so far has been in the right direction and I am positive that we can only get better.”
