After the variable conditions of the past two days the 5.077 kilometre Aragon circuit was bathed in sunshine when the 28 riders lined up for today’s16-lap race. Orelac Racing VerdNatura rider Nacho Calero had race-long battle with a group of riders, but just missed out on a top fifteen finish today.

“My start from the sixth row of the grid was not good, but it wasn’t bad. Very soon, I found myself in a group of riders and we had a big fight for the rest of the race and that was a lot of fun. In some parts of the track I was a bit faster than some of them and in other parts they were faster than me. When I overtook some of them I couldn’t make it sick, so the battle continued. I think my race pace was generally OK, but it would’ve been good to get past a few of the group, make it stick and get some points.”
Giulio Bardi (Team Manager)
“I think Nacho had a good, honourable race. He did well in the first part of the race and the end was decent also. We know this track is pretty intense on the brakes and it’s no surprise that he had a little issue with them fading in the middle part of the race. He had a good fight with a group of riders and it is a shame that he just couldn’t get into the points at the end".
